Introduction

We are a Christian, Bible based, parent run cooperative offering education enrichment and social support for students and parents. The word "cooperative" defines our organization where all participants are equally invested. The key to our success is participant commitment and flexibility.

About US

Classes meet in 6 available classrooms and gym at our host facility, Nashville Gospel Church (7305 Sonya Dr  Nashville, TN 37209) Thursdays, 9am-12pm with an optional lunch/open play until 1pm. We operate on a semester schedule with a cost of $100 per family per year . Additional class fees ($3-$15 per child/ each class)  may apply.  Parents must remain on site at all times in accordance with insurance coverage and waivers of liability must be signed as well as the statement of faith. Parents are required to lead teach one class and co-teach a class. (Two periods of service and then one hour free.)  Parents submit class descriptions they would like to teach/feel the Lord has gifted them in and present them to the group.  We all decide the class offerings together. (Don't be intimidated!  You can do this with a co-teacher and we will help empower and encourage you!) Interest through registration determines the final class offerings. Please note: if you are a first time participant in co-op you may have an opportunity to co-teach only or be a designated substitute for at least one semester to get your feet wet.

We utilize a one-room/multi-grade school room approach where students from a short range of grades are combined for the subject. Our goal is to offer classes for elementary (K-1st and 2nd-4th), middle (5th-7th) and high school classes (8th-9th and 11th-12th) during each of the three periods. Please e-mail us with any questions.

BHSACo-op Welcomes You!

Our School Year begins with a planning meeting on the last Thursday in July. Classes begin the second Thursday in August.  Please see our calendar page for more details. Our co-op day operates 3 class periods from 9am-12pm with an optional lunch and open play/teen hang from 12-1pm. We are also in the process of adding optional afternoon "Clubs" (such as Chess, Lego, etc.) We would love to hear what clubs you would like to see offered!
